The Panthers have faced some brutal competition over the last several weeks. There’s one more heavyweight to go before the team’s 2020 schedule becomes markedly easier. On Sunday they’ll host the Buccaneers, who beat them in Tampa back in Week 2. As expected, most experts are favoring the visitors this week.
Here are the Week 10 picks from some of our favorite analysts.
ESPN: Buccaneers
This was almost a sweep for Tampa at ESPN. Of their 10 panelists, Trey Wingo is the lone holdout picking the Panthers.
CBS Sports: Buccaneers
Will Brinson at CBS Sports doesn’t think this one will be close. He has Tampa winning, 35-21.
Sporting News: Buccaneers
At Sporting News, Bill Bender says it will be closer. He has the Bucs coming out on top, 27-20.
MMQB: Buccaneers
Another almost-sweep, here. Five of the MMQB’s six staffers went with Tampa. Andrew Brandt picked Carolina, though.
Pro Football Talk: Buccaneers
Mike Florio has Tampa winning this week, 28-17.
USA Today: Buccaneers
The Bucs finally get the sweep, here. All seven of USA Today’s national experts are picking them.
Our gut says the Panthers are due for a breakout performance and a four-game losing streak should be all the motivation they’ll ever need. That said, it’s so hard to pick against Tom Brady coming off a loss, especially when his team is so much deeper than this one. The Bucs have a lot of important players on their injury report this week, though, so we’re expecting this one to be yet another close loss.
Tampa 27, Carolina 23.
