Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers has been in the NFL for so long now that he once played against Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel when he was still a player.
In fact, their careers overlapped by seven years, which allowed Vrabel to get in some trash talk against Rivers when the two players met years back.
During a pre-game interview with ESPN’s Dianna Russini, she noted how Rivers is an infamous trash-talker himself and asked the Titans head coach if he ever got in any shots at the former Charger when playing against him.
And Vrabel admitted he did just that (his answer starts at the 1:15 mark).

Of course, the Drew Brees reference came from the fact that Rivers had taken the reins from the future Hall of Famer after he had departed from the Chargers following the 2005 season.
Vrabel pretty much nailed it on the head, as Rivers has no doubt put together an impressive career, but certainly not as impressive as that of Brees.
