The Cincinnati Bengals are big underdogs on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10.
Understandably, experts aren’t siding with them much either. Over at NFL Pick Watch, only eight percent of the experts polled have sided with the Bengals.
But Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has another take on the situation.
In his weekly picks, Florio writes that the Joe Burrow experience will prevail: “It’s time. There have been too many close wins for Pittsburgh. And Joe Burrow is determined to will his team into fringe of the the playoff chase.”
Granted, any prediction is hard to make right now because nobody knows whether Ben Roethlisberger will be cleared off the COVID-19 reserve list in time. If he is, he’ll play — but 2020 has shown us not to assume much about anything.
Still, the logic somewhat holds: The Steelers have been in a handful of close games and the Bengals seem to be in every game this year mostly due to Burrow’s heroics, enabling them to at least cover the spread in most.
While the Bengals aren’t a safe underdog pick by any means, it’s hard to fault an underdog-seeker for rolling with Burrow.
