LOS ANGELES — Former Tennessee linebacker Daniel Bituli has been released by the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams.
Bituli, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Rams shortly after the 2020 NFL draft, was on Los Angeles’ practice squad after he failed to make the team’s 53-man active roster in September.
He has now been released by the Rams multiple times.
The Nashville, Tennessee native had a stellar career at UT, leading the Volunteers in tackles each of his last three seasons on Rocky Top.
Bituli was a defensive leader for the Vols, who lost two games in which he missed last season. After returning from injury, Bituli helped the Vols turn their 2019 campaign around.
Tennessee won its last six games in 2019, including a victory in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl over Indiana.
The Vols finished the season with an 8-5 record.
Bituli was cut shortly after being signed by the Rams. He rejoined Los Angeles in August before being cut again and placed on the practice squad.
