OAK RIDGE — A Tennessee football recruiting target had another big game in the first round of the TSSAA Class 5A Playoffs last week.
Oak Ridge High School junior running back Kendall Jackson rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown as the Wildcats defeated Soddy-Daisy, 30-7, Nov. 9 at Blankenhip Field.
Jackson, who also has offers from Duke, Tulane, Arizona and Eastern Kentucky, missed some time with an injury this season.
He has now rushed for at least 120 yards and a touchdown in five consecutive games.
Jackson will lead Oak Ridge (8-3) into a second-round playoff game at Rhea County (10-1) Friday night.
The Wildcats enter Friday night’s contest in the midst of a five-game winning streak.
