We continue our look back at the playoff history of the Philadelphia 76ers with an important win for the franchise recently. The Sixers were in the 2019 semifinals with the Toronto Raptors down 1-0 and looking for their first road win over the Raptors since 2012.

It was a game Philadelphia really needed in order to give themselves some confidence following a disheartening Game 1 loss in the series. Toronto was able to neutralize Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, so it meant the Sixers had to turn to Jimmy Butler to get the job done.

Butler scored 12 points in the fourth quarter on his way to scoring 30 for the game. He shot 4-for-10 from deep and he also pulled down 11 rebounds and five assists in a 94-89 win to tie the series at 1 before heading back to Philadelphia.

It was a big win for Philadelphia to give the etam some confidence that they can win this series. With Butler leading the way, the Sixers felt as though they had all the momentum with the series shifting to the Wells Fargo Center. [lawrence-related id=38935,38925,38922]
