Tennessee-Texas A&M: The all-time series

Recapping the football series between Tennessee and the Aggies.

KNOXVILLE — Texas A&M will make its first trip to Neyland Stadium Saturday, as Tennessee hosts the Aggies in Week 7 of a 10-game SEC-only regular season.

Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. EST and the game will be televised on ESPN.

The two teams enter the game headed in different directions as the Volunteers (2-4, 2-4 SEC) have lost four consecutive contests. Texas A&M (5-1, 5-1 SEC) has won four straight contests and have a victory over Florida.

Texas A&M and Tennessee do not have a long history against each other.

Texas A&M is one of the newest members in the SEC, joining the league in 2012 along with Missouri.

The Vols and Aggies have tangled three times on the gridiron, including twice in bowl games.

Tennessee leads the all-time series, 2-1, but the Aggies prevailed in its last meeting, posting a 45-38 overtime victory in College Station.

Other meetings took place in the 2005 Cotton Bowl (38-7) and the 1957 Gator Bowl (3-0). Tennessee won both contests.
