Dolphins to be without 5 assistants due to COVID-19 protocols

This will certainly change the way the Dolphins communicate with their players on the sideline today against the Cardinals

The Miami Dolphins are approximately an hour away from kickoff and if the team is going to secure their fifth win of the season today against the Arizona Cardinals, they’re going to have to do so shorthanded on the sidelines. Miami placed one player, WR Lynn Bowden Jr, on the COVID/reserve list this week — but now the Dolphins have revealed that the team will not have five assistant coaches on the sideline for their effort in Week 9.

The coaches involved:

  • Gerald Alexander
  • Robby Brown
  • Austin Clark
  • Marion Hobby
  • Kolby Smith

This will certainly change the way the Dolphins communicate with their players on the sideline today against the Cardinals — although Miami has likely had contingencies in place for such a set of circumstances. None of Miami’s play-callers will be compromised, which helps the cause. But hopefully, each of the Dolphins coaches who have come in close contact with the virus will be on the mend sooner rather than later and without additional incident.

The Dolphins kick off against the Cardinals at 4:25 from Glendale, Arizona.
