LSU running back Corey Kiner moved one step closer to an Ohio state championship on Saturday. He led Roger Bacon High School (Cincinnati) to a 31-7 win over Springfield Shawnee in the Division V, Region 20 final.

The undefeated Roger Bacon Spartans (10-0) will play Ironton next week in a state semifinal game.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound Kiner carried the ball 19 times for 142 yards in his final home game.

It was yet another outstanding performance from the four-star running back who committed to the Tigers in May.

In the win, Kiner surpassed the 7,000-yard rushing mark for his career, putting him No. 11 all-time in the state of Ohio with 7,033 yards.

Kiner now has 36 touchdowns in the 2020 season.

The win was Roger Bacon’s first regional football title in school history.
