FAYETTEVILLE — A second-half collapse laded Tennessee’s football team in the loss column for the fourth consecutive time in 2020.

Things went well for the Volunteers in the first half as they had a 13-0 lead at halftime.

The contest came unraveled for Tennessee after halftime as Arkansas notched a comeback victory, prevailing 24-13 in a Southeastern Conference showdown.

Tennessee (2-4, 2-4 SEC) had 96 rushing yards in the opening quarter and a 1-yard touchdown run from Eric Gray. The Vols also had a pair of long field goals from Brent Cimaglia to take a 13-0 lead by halftime.

The Razorbacks (3-3, 3-3 SEC) gained control of the contest after the break, scoring 24 unanswered points in the third stanza.

Arkansas pulled to within 13-7 after Feleipe Franks, a senior and transfer from Florida, connected with Mike Woods on a touchdown pass that culminated a 17-play, 75-yard drive.

The Razorbacks took the lead when Franks found Blake Kern on a scoring strike from six yards out with 6:35 to go in the frame.

Franks had another touchdown pass, a 56-yarder to Treylon Burks, to make it 21-13.

A.J. Reed closed out the scoring with a 48-yard field goal late in the third quarter.
