We are only two days away from the biggest athletic event in Florida sports as the football team gets ready to face their most fierce rivals, the Georgia Bulldogs, in Jacksonville this Saturday. However, it is not just gridiron action on the agenda leading up to the weekend, as several Gators athletic clubs are scheduled to compete as well.
Today, the No. 10 women’s swimming and diving team host the Miami Hurricanes in the O’Connell Center Natatorium for their second meet of the fall season. The Lady Gators dropped their first matchup at fourth-ranked Georgia back on Oct. 30.
Tomorrow, the men’s tennis team travels to Athens, Ga., for the 53rd Southern Collegiate Championships. This year will feature over 40 players from four league schools — Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Ole Miss.
Also happening on Friday, the soccer team heads to Lexington to play the Kentucky Wildcats. The match is the first of the last two road games remaining on the SEC schedule, with the finale coming against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia on Sunday.
