In 1899, Tennessee shut out Kentucky A&M 12-0. Georgia Tech routed the Vols, 45-0, in 1905.
In 1911, UT and Centre College played to a scoreless tie.
The Volunteers edged Chattanooga, 12-7, in 1916. In 1922, Vanderbilt out lasted Tennessee 14-6.
In 1933, the Vols blanked George Washington 13-0. The Volunteers shut out LSU 20-0 in 1939.
Tennessee and the Tigers tangled again on the gridiron in 1944 with the Vols prevailing, 13-0.
In 1950, the Volunteers downed North Carolina 16-0. The Tar Heels tangled with UT again in 1961 and edged the Big Orange, 22-21.
In 1967, the Vols blanked Tampa 38-0. Tennessee shut out Georgia, 14-0, in 1972.
In 1978, the Big Orange downed Duke 34-0. The Vols blanked Southern Mississippi, 42-0, in 1995.
In 2000, the Volunteers edged Memphis 19-17.
The Vols lost to LSU, 28-24, in 2006.
Tennessee last played on Nov. 4 in 2017 when it outlasted Southern Mississippi, 24-10.
