With two weeks to go until the NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns have been linked to a few prospects, including Tyrell Terry, Isaac Okoro and Patrick Williams among others. The front office also reportedly has their eye on Alabama guard Kira Lewis Jr.

According to Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report, the Suns have shown a lot of interest in the 19-year-old. Lewis has drawn interest from several teams recently and is said to be climbing up draft boards around the league, as a result.

He earned First Team All-SEC honors last season after averaging 18.5 points, 5.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 31 games played. He shot 50.7% from the field, including 36.6% from 3-point range on 4.9 attempts, and projects to check a lot of boxes for the Suns.

Lewis was tasked with leading an up-tempo offense at Alabama and could give Phoenix an injection of speed and penetration next to Devin Booker, something Ricky Rubio doesn’t provide. Phoenix could view Lewis as the long-term answer and target him with the 10th overall pick.

However, Lewis has recently worked out in-person with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic. Teams are certainly interested in the 6-foot-3 guard and it remains to be seen if he’ll be on the board when Phoenix is on the clock.
