The New York Giants (1-7) visit the nation’s capital to play the NFC East rival Washington Football Team (2-5) at 1 p.m. ET in Week 9. Below, we look at the early Giants-Washington betting odds and lines at BetMGM Sportsbook.
The Giants squandered an 11-point lead in a 25-23 loss on Monday Night Football to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Washington went into its bye week on a high note by drilling the Dallas Cowboys 25-3 in Week 7. First-year head coach Ron Rivera is in the process of rebuilding Washington’s identity into a defensive team.
The Football Team has the second-highest sack percentage, allows the fifth-fewest yards per play and holds opponents to the fifth-lowest red-zone touchdown conversion percentage. Also, Washington benched 2019 first-round pick QB Dwayne Haskins for QB Kyle Allen prior to Week 5. Allen is 1-2 in three starts and has a 72.5 QBR compared to Haskins’ 27.6 QBR.
