Assessing the midseason 2020 Super Bowl futures odds for the Jacksonville Jaguars, with a look at their chances of winning the AFC South.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) are tied with the Houston Texans for third in the AFC South – or last depending on how you look at it. The Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts are tied for first at 5-2.

The Jaguars stunned the Colts 27-20 in Week 1, but haven’t won since.

Below, we analyze the midseason Jacksonville Jaguars 2020 Super Bowl odds, odds of winning their division as well as NFL futures and opine on whether they’re worth a Super Bowl futures bet at this time.

Only one NFL team has longer odds than the Jaguars’ +100000. The winless New York Jets (0-8) are listed at +500000, while the New York Giants (1-7) have the same odds as the Jaguars at +100000. Jacksonville was +15000 at the start of training camp.

QB Gardner Minshew, who could be out a game or two due to a fractured thumb, has completed 65.9% of his passes for 1,855 passing yards and 13 touchdowns with 5 interceptions. He has been sacked 22 times, tied for fourth-most in the league.

Minshew is the Jaguars second-leading rusher (122 yards, 1 TD) behind James Robinson (481 yards, 4 TDs). This explains why the Jaguars rank third to last in team rushing yards at 96.6 yards per game.

Keelan Cole (374 receiving yards, 3 TDs) and Laviska Shenault (324 yards, 1 TD) are the team’s top two receivers in receiving yards.

The Jaguars are 2-5 against the spread, failing to cover in their last five games. They’re 4-3 vs. the Over/Under.

Jaguars division betting odds

  • Titans -134
  • Colts +105
  • Texans +6600
  • Jaguars +50000

This is a two-team race in the AFC South between the Titans and Colts. They haven’t played each other yet but meet twice in the next four weeks: At Tennessee in Week 10’s Thursday game and at Indianapolis in Week 12.

Jacksonville is 1-2 in the division, the win being the Week 1 upset of Indy at home. The remaining schedule doesn’t look promising for a second victory. The Jaguars likely will be underdogs in each of their remaining nine games – those seven opponents are Tennessee, Indianapolis, Green Bay Packers (5-2), Pittsburgh Steelers (7-0), Cleveland Browns (5-3), Baltimore Ravens (5-2) and Chicago Bears (5-3).
