The Browns got some good news on the injury front with star defensive end Myles Garrett. An MRI on Monday showed no structural damage to Garrett’s injured knee.
Garrett suffered what was termed a knee contusion during Sunday’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He missed more than half of the team’s snaps and was largely ineffective when he did play through the pain.
Coach Kevin Stefanski relayed the good news in a conference call with reporters. He noted Garrett will return on Wednesday for further evaluation. The Browns are off on Tuesday and do not play in Week 9.
“We dodged a bullet,” Stefanski said of Garrett’s injury. “We just need him to come back Wednesday and see if he’s ready to practice. If he’s not, we’ll have a few days to rest and get ready to roll next week.”
