The Dallas Cowboys had a chance to get a game-tying score in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at the Linc. Third-string quarterback Ben DiNucci was leading a nice drive that could have given the Cowboys a lead with a TD and PAT.
And then the Eagles loaded up with a safety blitz. The seventh-round pick from James Madison did not handle the pressure. He fumbled. The ball rattled to Eagles’ defensive lineman Vinny Curry, who wasn’t able to corral it.
The ball squirted free and Rodney McLeod took it 53 yards to the house for a 21-9 lead. The two-point conversion failed.

All scoring plays are reviewed but the return stood despite it looking like Curry had possession and was down while recovering the ball.
