From Week 7 on last season when Ryan Tannehill took over as the starter, the Tennessee Titans have sported one of the best offenses in the NFL — and that has continued into the 2020 season.
Through six games, the Titans are averaging 31.3 points per contest, the fourth-best mark in the NFL. Tennessee has scored 30 points or more in four of six games, including two contests with 40-plus.
And, with their impressive showing on offense during the first half of the season, the Titans are helping to make history.
Tennessee is one of seven teams currently averaging 30 or more points per contest — the others are the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints — which is the most through seven weeks of a season since 1970.

While the Titans are above 30 points per contest right now, finishing the season that way is incredibly difficult to do and would be historic if Tennessee can pull it off.
In fact, the only time the franchise has accomplished such a feat was all the way back in 1961 when the Houston Oilers tallied 36.6 points per game.
Tennessee has yet another great opportunity to put plenty of points on the board in Week 8 against a Cincinnati Bengals defense that is surrendering 27.7 points per game in 2020.
