The Vikings vs. Packers matchup in Week 8 isn’t quite what we expected. It’s not a game that has any playoff implications for the Vikings, which is unfortunate.
But it could have playoff implications for your fantasy football lineup!
After missing Week 6 with a groin injury, Cook is expected back on Sunday against the Packers after the team’s bye.
In five games, Cook has been solid this season, rushing for 489 yards and seven touchdowns.
We can probably expect Cook to find the end zone against the Packers considering in his last three games against the Packers, Cook has found the end zone four times.
Earlier this year, Cook ran for just 50 yards on 12 carries, but had two touchdowns.
While Cook has found the end zone consistenly against the Packers, his overall numbers aren’t great. Last year, he ran for 154 yards and one touchdown to go with another 37 receiving yards against Green Bay.
That’s good.
Other than that, though, Cook has combined for just 214 total yards in his three other career games against Green Bay.
Much will have to do with how the Vikings start off early. If they can stay in the game, Cook will get more carries. However, if it’s like Week 1 when the Vikings fell behind big early, Cook’s duties will dwindle.
