With the Big Ten finally in action and teams around the country earning impressive wins, Florida’s sabbatical in the two weeks since its loss to Texas A&M have caused it to slip in the eyes of some college football analysts.
In the latest CBS Sports college football power rankings, the Gators dropped one spot from No. 7 to No. 8. They are behind conference foes Alabama and Georgia, who rank second and third, respectively, but they remain ahead of Texas A&M.
Despite beating UF on Oct. 10, the Aggies still sit well outside the top 10, though they did move up a spot from No. 16 to No. 17.
Here’s what Dennis Dodd said about the Gators, who will finally be back in action on Saturday night against Missouri, barring another COVID-19 outbreak.
Idle. The Gators are in limbo, quarantined while hoping to play this week against Missouri. When Florida returns, it will have to deal with a Mizzou program that has righted itself.
