There wasn’t much doubt, but now it’s certain. Le’Veon Bell will make his Kansas City Chiefs debut in Week 7. Bell is officially active for the game after joining his new team this past Wednesday.

Bell, 28, was signed by the Chiefs after being released from his contract with the New York Jets. A three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro, Bell is now on his third team, hoping for a shot to reinvent himself with the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Chiefs Kingdom will get a chance to be introduced to their newest offensive weapon against the Denver Broncos. With only three days of practice, Bell is set to play and participate in the Week 7 game. Gameflow will ultimately determine the type of role that he has during the game, but knowing Andy Reid, we can expect to see some packaged plays for Bell.

We know from the press conferences during the past week that the Chiefs view Bell as a different flavor compared to Clyde Edwards-Helaire. At 6-1 and 225 pounds, the team covets his size. He could be in the game for short-yardage and goal-line situations as the biggest running back on the team. We know that he’s an excellent pass protector, so that opens up third-down and other passing situations. Another area where he could be utilized in his Chiefs debut is the passing game, catching over 380 passes during the course of his career.
