The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks have had a fairly even rivalry over the years. Seattle holds a one-game advantage in the all-time series, a record of 21-20-1 against the Cardinals.
Since the two teams became part of the NFC West, in eighteen seasons, they have split the season series nine times, while the Cardinals have swept the two games three times and the Seahawks have swept the season series four times.
However, the Cardinals have struggled against the Seahawks in their home stadium. While they hold a 6-7-1 home record against Seattle since State Farm Stadium opened in 2006, since Russell Wilson has been the quarterback, the Seahawks have dominated.
In fact, the Cardinals have not beaten the Seahawks at home since Wilson’s NFL debut in Week 1 of the 2012 season. Wilson is 6-1-1 against the Cardinals in Arizona.
The last time Arizona beat Seattle at home, Ken Whisenhunt was the coach and John Skelton started at quarterback.
Sunday night, they hope to reverse those fortunes.
