The Tennessee Titans will not be getting back their No. 1 cornerback this week, as Adoree’ Jackson was not activated from Injured Reserve on Saturday and will miss another game.
Instead, the team announced the activation of defensive back Dane Cruikshank from IR and he will be eligible to play on Sunday.
On top of that move, the Titans have chosen to elevate both linebacker Daren Bates and offensive lineman David Quessenberry for the Week 7 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Barring any setbacks, Jackson should return in Week 8 after being designated for return and practicing all three days this week. His return is much-needed for a struggling Titans secondary that sorely misses him.
The move to elevate Quessenberry is likely in response to Tennessee losing left tackle Taylor Lewan for the season to a torn ACL. Quessenberry can provide some depth behind the team’s starting unit.
Tennessee and Pittsburgh will kick off at noon CT on Sunday.
