It didn’t take long for redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler and the Oklahoma offense to get down the field… twice. Oklahoma is up 10-0 on TCU through two drives and ten minutes, and the offense appears to be clicking nicely.
Rattler has already tosses a pair of deep bombs, but this spin move, pump-fake and 20-yard scramble is the one that’s really turning heads. Oklahoma is no stranger to stellar pocket presence, but this play is channeling the best of the best in terms of composure under pressure.
Consistent pressure has been a notable part of Rattler’s debut season, and the young quarterback is quickly learning how to deal with it the hard way. It appears that the bye week has paid dividends in that regard.
Rattler is 2-4 passing for 87 yards so far. T.J. Pledger ran in a 13-yard touchdown and Gabe Brkic nailed a 40-yard field goal. Check out our live scoring summary for more.
