Report: Tampa Bay Buccaneers agree to terms with Antonio Brown

Tom Brady and Antonio Brown will be together again in Tampa Bay.

Tom Brady gets what Tom Brady wants. He wanted Rob Gronkowski in Tampa Bay and now the G.O.A.T. will have Antonio Brown to throw to with the Buccaneers, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Brown is serving the final week of a league-mandated suspension for off-field incidents. He will be available to Tampa Bay in Week 9.

This is also quite the turnaround for coach Bruce Arians, who in March said, “Yeah, it’s not gonna happen,” Arians said, via ESPN. “There’s no room. And probably not enough money. But it’s not gonna happen — it’s not a fit here.

“Yeah, I just know him, and — it’s not a fit in our locker room.”

The Bucs already have a pair of elite wide receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Both have dealt with injuries in 2020. However, they are one of the best — the best??? — duos in the league.

Throwing Brown into the mix gives the Bucs a triple threat before you factor in Gronkowski. The big question and the task that Brady has to deal with is how to feed everyone when you consider the appetite for these receivers.

Brady and Brown played together for one game in 2019. He targeted the turbulent wideout eight times, connected four for 56 yards and a touchdown.

After that game, Brown wound up being released for troubles outside the field. This was another in a line of incidents that has turned one of the best wideouts in the game into a toxic presence.

The question becomes: Can Tom Brady reel in Antonio Brown and will this lead the Bucs to the championship and the G.O.A.T. to his seventh Super Bowl ring?
