Prospect Jayden Scrubb has reportedly interviewed twice with the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of the 2020 NBA draft, according to Bryan Kalbrosky of the USA TODAY Sports Media Group.

Scrubb, the 2020 National Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Year, averaged 21.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 29 games played last season at John A. Logan College in Illinois. He initially opted to transfer to Louisville next season but instead entered the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore started to appear on the NBA radar following his play last season given his scoring ability and athleticism. He boasts a 6-foot-10 wingspan that also has teams intrigued with his 3-and-D potential at the next level.

Scrubb is projected to be selected by the Trail Blazers with the 46th overall pick in the latest 2020 Rookie Wire NBA Mock Draft. He has drawn comparisons to Anfernee Simons and some believe he is the biggest sleeper in the draft.

The 20-year-old has also interviewed twice with the Boston Celtics and was among the prospects to participate in the draft combine. Despite playing at a junior college, Scrubb has generated quite a bit of buzz ahead of the draft and will likely hear his name called on Nov. 18 as a result.
