The confusion with Alshon Jeffery’s return to the Eagles lineup may have been cleared up some on Wednesday when the Birds star receiver was designated with a calf injury.
Jeffery has worked to return from a Lisfranc injury and he may have suffered a calf strain while working to return over the past three weeks. Jeffery and the Eagles have encountered some criticism for the organization not putting him on the PUP list to start the regular season.
#Eagles have ruled out WR Alshon Jeffery and added a calf injury to his previous foot injury. I’m told it’s a minor strain but that’s the reason he’s out vs. the #Giants. They expect him to ramp up next week and play against the #Cowboys.

Per Mike Garafalo, Jeffery is dealing with a minor strain and should be ready for the Week 8 matchup with Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night.
