OAK RIDGE — A Tennessee football recruiting target helped his high school team win its third consecutive game on Oct. 16.
Oak Ridge High School junior running back Kendall Jackson rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries to help the Wildcats edge Mt. Juliet, 27-21, last week at Blankenship Field.
The win was Oak Ridge’s third consecutive victory. The Wildcats are now 5-3 overall and have recent wins over Clinton and Karns in Region 3-5A games.
Oak Ridge (3-1 in the Region) hosts Powell Friday night in a key league tilt.
Jackson received an offer from the Volunteers and head coach Jeremy Pruitt in July.
He also has offers from Tulane, Arizona and Eastern Kentucky, all since April.
Jackson has missed time this year due to an early-season injury.
