Sixers free agent Alec Burks changes agents, joins Octagon Basketball

Philadelphia 76ers guard Alec Burks is switching agents as he joins Octagon Basketball.

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Alec Burks from the Golen State Warriors at the trade deadline back in February looking for a spark off their bench. Burks did just that as he hopped off the bench and gave them a scoring punch from the perimeter.

As the offseason rapidly approaches and the unpredictable free agency period gets set to open up, Burks has changed agents in anticipation of that. Free agency is set to open around December 1 as the league adjusts due to the global coronavirus pandemic and Burks is getting set for what is to come.

Octagon Basketball announced on Tuesday that Burks is set to join their organization as he switches who will represent him in upcoming free agency talks.

Octagon represents big stars such as Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Bam Adebayo as well as the potential top pick in the draft in Georgia’s Anthony Edwards. Burks is joining a big organization as he gets set to look for his next NBA deal. [lawrence-related id=38491,38484,38482]
