Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith suffered a right ankle injury during the third quarter of the Week 6 matchup with the Houston Texans and is questionable to return.
The injury occurred during a Derrick Henry run. Smith limped off the field and immediately saw attention from the Titans’ training staff. After getting his ankle taped up, Smith was seen running on the sideline to test it out.
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Smith wasn’t favoring his ankle while testing it out and he looks like he might be able to return.
Jonnu Smith had his right ankle taped and ran sprints on the sideline. He isn't favoring it which is a good sign. Smith will probably be back in on the next drive. https://t.co/I5v9Sw5MKJ

Before his injury, Smith had been relatively quiet, with just one catch for 13 yards on two targets. We’ll provide an update on his status as soon as it becomes available.
A different Titans tight end has stepped up in Week 6, as Anthony Firkser leads all Tennessee pass-catchers with five receptions for 76 yards (both season-highs), while also adding one touchdown.
