Patrick Mahomes is well-known for his ability to make crazy-good throws from any angle, and as the reigning king of that particular ability, he’s taken most of the praise for such throws. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but in the Lions’ Sunday matchup against the Jaguars, Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford made this absolutely ridiculous throw to tight end Jesse James (which just makes the play even better).

Not that it was a big play, but give Stafford full credit for his adaptive abilities. He’s had one of the league’s best arms since he came into the NFL in 2009, and through he’s struggled with his own injuries and the Lions’ massive ineptitude over the last few seasons, don’t forget his name when it comes time to talk about which quarterbacks have the NFL’s most arm talent.
