The Cleveland Browns are playing in a big game for the first time in a long time and Baker Mayfield is going to start in it.

The former Oklahoma quarterback took a big hit late in the Indianapolis loss a week ago. Mayfield had been sidelined for much of the week leading up to the AFC North bout with the Pittsburgh Steelers nursing a ribs injury.

He will start after practicing for just one day, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Mayfield and the Browns are 4-1 for the first time since 1994. The former Oklahoma quarterback and Cleveland are running the football at will and getting Mayfield into good play action opportunities under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

He’s back above a 60 percent completion percentage (61.2) after a rough second year in 2019. Mayfield has thrown for 976 yards and nine touchdowns to four interceptions through five games in 2020.

Cleveland and the Pittsburgh Steelers kickoff at 12 p.m. CT.
