If you want the truth, just talk to Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Vince Williams. No player tells it like it is the way Williams does. Whenever he’s speaking to the press, we all listen because you just never know what he’s going to say.
On Friday, Williams spoke to the media and he did not disappoint. Williams was asked about the fiasco from last season involving Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph.
But Williams wasn’t having it. He’s all about the game.
“We’re completely past it,” Williams said. “I don’t really think we pay attention to it. We just know we have to go out there and whack the next opponent over the head.”
This is what it’s all about. What happened last season is over and done and it is all about holding onto that lead in the AFC North. And if it means whacking some Browns over the head (but not with their own helmet) so be it.
