The Le’Veon Bell sweepstakes just got a lot more interesting. For the past 24 hours, there has been plenty of speculation regarding the Miami Dolphins and their potential interest in the former All-Pro running back. After a failed stint with the New York Jets, Bell is looking to land with a team that can afford him a chance to rehab his production and potentially set him up for success as a multi-year fixture.
He’d also apparently like to win.
According to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler this morning, Bell’s shortlist is down to three teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills and…
Bell has been attached to the Miami area for several years and was pegged as a potential signee back in 2019 when he was most recently on the free agent market. But the Dolphins are in a different place this time around and, according to the newest report from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins’ interest is mutual this time around.
As recently as last night there were conflicting reports about if Miami was interested in targeting Bell or not. But now that he’s on the free agent market, it seems as though Miami’s interest has picked up: they’ve been described as “very, very interested” in Bell by Jackson.
To follow up on @JFowlerESPN tweet, it was just made clear to me by an involved party that Dolphins are very, very interested in Le'Veon Bell. Bills are pushing very hard as well. As an Jeremy noted, KC very much in mix.

It has been a chaotic morning on the rumor mill — and it isn’t likely to slow down as we continue throughout the day. Bell is apparently looking to sign sooner rather than later, so perhaps we’ll have some final clarity on the situation by the end of the day.
