Minnesota’s 1-4 start is not sitting well for many fans. From an outside perspective, it’s not sitting right for Bleacher Report, either.
Bleacher Report had a panic meter for each struggling NFL team. It gave the Vikings a nine out of 10 rating.
Here’s what the outlet said about the Vikings:
“Alexander Mattison is a solid backup ball-carrier but not comparable to Cook, who’s the league’s leading rusher through five weeks. The Vikings’ ground attack will take a hit until the Pro Bowl running back returns to the lineup.
With a 1-4 record that ranks last in the NFC North, the Vikings would have to go on an extended win streak to breathe life into their playoff hopes. The defense tightened up Sunday, but that improvement seems like it’s come too late.”
Minnesota’s schedule gets easier after this, but there are still some tough outs, especially in the division. The Vikings need to get better, and they need some luck — a lot of it.
