There were two things considered doubtful for this weekend regarding the LSU Tigers — quarterback Myles Brennan being able to take the field and a game even being played against the Florida Gators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday.
Obviously, at this point, the game has been postponed and is tentatively rescheduled for Dec. 12 in Gainesville, Florida.
Head coach Ed Orgeron described his starting quarterback, who banged up his left shoulder against Missouri as “doubtful” to play on Saturday.
Brennan is “pretty bruised up” and had a hard time rotating to throw the ball with the soreness. Still, he went back into the game at halftime and fought through as he tried to lead LSU to victory before the Tigers ultimately fell short in the 45-41 loss.

“He went out in the second half and didn’t blink,” Orgeron said. “I’m very proud of him.”
Brennan finished the game with a career-high with 430 yards passing and four touchdowns — 323 yards and three touchdowns he posted after taking the big hit.
If we wouldn’t have been able to see Brennan in action, it would have come down to true freshmen T.J. Finley and Max Johnson, two players Orgeron has praised.
“I really think both of them are phenomenal young players,” Orgeron said. “It’s hard to distinguish the difference between them, they’re both so good.”
