KNOXVILLE — No. 17 Tennessee (2-1, 2-1 SEC) enters Week 4 of its 2020 SEC-only season.
Ahead of the Vols’ matchup against Kentucky Saturday, Tennessee sophomore linebacker Ethan Rinke announced he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
“I want to thank all the coaches and my teammates at Tennessee,” Rinke said on Twitter. “I have learned a lot and will always have wonderful memories. I have entered the transfer portal.”

Rinke is a walk-on from Athens High School in Athens, Alabama.
He did not appear in any games as a freshman in 2019. As a senior at Athens, Rinke totaled 70 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.
