After scoring his 10th point in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro on Friday set the NBA record by a rookie for the most consecutive games in the playoffs scoring in double digits.

Herro has now scored in double figures in each of his first 20 postseason games, topping the previous mark of 19 set by Alvan Adams in 1976 with the Phoenix Suns. The 20-year-old has played a key role with the Heat and entered Friday night averaging 16.6 points per game.

Prior to catching Adams for the record, Herro passed Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor and Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum as the top-performing rookies in the playoffs.

During the Heat’s playoff run, Herro also became the youngest player in history to start in the NBA Finals and, following his performance in Game 4, became one of six rookies to score 300 or more points during a single postseason run.
