There might be a really good reason Tom Brady didn’t shake hands with Nick Foles after Bucs loss

This is a non-story.

Lots of people are making a big deal out of the fact that it appears Tom Brady didn’t shake Nick Foles’ hand after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night after Brady’s possible mental error (he and Bruce Arians denied he didn’t know the downs on the final drive).

And there are lots of people who are saying Brady didn’t shake Foles’ hand AGAIN because the then-Patriots quarterback didn’t do it after the Super Bowl LII loss, but for what it’s worth, Brady did congratulate Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett before the night was out.

Back to the present: here’s what cameras caught after the game:

Okay. But did we all forget that we’re in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic? That maybe Brady has seen what’s going on around the NFL, including with his replacement in New England, Cam Newton?

You know who didn’t forget? Nick Foles! Via Yahoo Sports:

“No, didn’t get a chance to say anything to him,” Foles said on Fox after the game. “Sure sometime we’ll catch up but, you know, we’re trying to keep our distance.”

Exactly. Move on, everyone.
