With the NFL season just four games in, the Vikings have not stood out as a team that can contend.

But Dalvin Cook has stood out as one of the top running backs in the NFL. Cook, among many impressive stats, leads the league in rushing with 424 yards on the ground. He recently spoke to reporters about that:

“Have to keep stacking them up and keep helping my teammates win,” Cook said, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. “I never set out to set goals for myself. I always just wanted to win a championship and leading the league would probably help us as much as I can to get where we need to go.”

Last season, Cook ran for 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He is on pace for 1,696 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns this year. I know, it’s early, but Cook coming near either of those stats would put the Vikings rushing game in top-tier territory.
