The Tennessee Titans are in the midst of an outbreak of COVID-19, the first of the 2020 NFL season, and as we already know they are being investigated by the NFL as the league tries to figure out what went wrong and if the team followed protocols correctly.
A new area of the investigation pertains to Titans players potentially having gotten together for workouts while the team’s facility was closed due to the outbreak, which is something the league told the team not to do.
This was first reported by Mark Maske of The Washington Post, and was later confirmed by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Part of the investigation by NFL and NFLPA into Titans' compliance with protocols concerns whether or not some Tennessee players gathered away from the facility for unauthorized workouts over the past week after the Titans had been told to have no such gatherings, source says.

Pelissero also added that the league is already looking into whether or not the Titans had lapses in the protocol, which could include “inconsistent use of masks and tracking devices and whether symptoms were timely reported.”
If the Titans are found to have violated COVID-19 protocols, they would face discipline.
As @RapSheet and I reported Sunday, the NFL and NFLPA also have been looking into possibly inconsistent use of masks and tracking devices and whether symptoms were timely reported. If protocols are found to have been violated, discipline could follow. https://t.co/0NkRjfSMmh

The Titans looked to possibly be out of the woods with their outbreak after two straight days of no positive test results on Monday and Tuesday, but that was instantly erased when two more players tested positive on Wednesday.
We’ll have to await the official findings of the NFL’s investigation before we can determine if the Titans had any wrongdoing in this situation.
