New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had some struggles with wearing a mask correctly on the sidelines in recent weeks. In Week 2’s game against the Seahawks, Belichick wore a mask that was folded in a way that provided plenty of fodder for the internet.
But concern around the New England Patriots organization was understandably heightened after quarterback Cam Newton tested positive for the coronavirus. As a result, the Patriots had their game against the Chiefs pushed to Monday, traveled to Kansas City on the day of the game and had contacts with Newton travel on a separate plane.
So, yeah, Belichick wasn’t going to take any chances. He double-masked it for Monday’s game against the Chiefs.

Belichick roamed the sidelines with an N95-style mask underneath a neck gaiter. While an N95 mask probably would be enough on its own, another covering couldn’t hurt.
