After an outrageous couple of weeks at Notre Dame that saw roughly a third of the football team test positive for COVID-19 and even the University President have a positive test, things have slowed down in the latest round of testing in regards to the football team.
In a release on Monday, Notre Dame announced that 287 COVID-19 tests were administered in the last week and that only two came back positive.

The two who tested positive have been placed in isolation and no close contacts were identified. They join five other players currently in isolation and four others who are in quarantine after being identified as close contacts.
This comes one week after 18 players tested positive for COVID-19. Obviously the number isn’t at the zero we’d all like it to be at but a solid step forward was taken as Notre Dame tries to combat COVID-19 both on campus and in their athletic programs.
