How much talking LeBron James does on the court became a point of interest after the Miami Heat pulled off an upset of LeBron and the Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night. After the Heat withstood a late rally by the Lakers to get on the board in the series, cameras caught Jimmy Butler telling LeBron that the Lakers are “in trouble.” After the game, Butler told reporters that what was caught on camera was simply a response to something LeBron James said to him earlier in the game.
On Monday, the gathered media asked a question of LeBron James regarding trash talk and while they didn’t mention Butler directly, James seemed to deny that he was initiating the exchange that everybody saw Butler’s end of.

We’re just going to have to take each guy’s statement with a grain of salt at this point. With emotions running high in a highly-pressurized series, last night likely won’t be the last time we see Butler and LeBron talking to each other as the Heat scrapped to get on the board in this series and give themselves more bites at the apple before the season comes to a close.
