A pair of practice squad elevations will provide depth for the front seven of the Green Bay Packers defense on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Packers elevated veteran defensive lineman Billy Winn and rookie linebacker De’Jon Harris from the practice squad to the gameday roster for Week 4.
The Packers have injury issues at both positions, with defensive lineman Kenny Clark questionable to play and linebacker Christian Kirksey on injured reserve.
Teams can elevate up to two players from the practice squad each week. An individual player can only be elevated twice. Winn, for instance, has been elevated each of the last two weeks and can no longer be elevated.
Given that both players were elevated for this week, expect both to be active and likely participate in some fashion against the Falcons on Monday night.
Winn, who has played in 69 career games, was on the field for six defensive snaps against the New Orleans Saints last week.
Harris, an undrafted rookie from Arkansas, will be making his NFL debut.
Both players will be assigned back the practice following the conclusion of Monday night’s game.
The Packers also promoted receiver Reggie Begelton, signing him to the 53-man roster on Monday.
