The NFL held its weekly meeting regarding COVID-19 accountability during the pandemic. The league sent a memo to all teams and it is not going to tolerate players or team personnel that doesn’t abide by precautions.
One of the more interesting aspects of the memo is the league threatening sanctions such as something as harsh as a forfeit.
In the memo:
Protocol violations that result in virus spreading requiring adjustments to the schedule or otherwise impacting other teams will result in additional financial and competitive discipline, including the adjustment or loss of draft picks or even the forfeit of a game.
