The LSU Tigers may have lost a tough one to the Mississippi State Bulldogs to open the season, but they looked like the team so many of us expected to see when they took down the Vanderbilt Commodores, 41-7 on Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee.
The win didn’t exactly come as a surprise, considering that LSU has been so historically dominant in the past over Vanderbilt, on top of the fact the Tigers were 20.5-point favorites over the Commodores heading into this one.
Overall, the LSU offense looked much more balanced than Week 1, and the defense did a much better job of stepping up and tackling.
Here’s a look at what players and fans had to say about the game.

Just like the league not having the 4 non conference (pre-season) games are always a tough adjustment. Them boys will be ready to peak when it matters.

Arkansas beat Miss State who beat LSU, which should mean LSU is bad, but LSU destroyed Vanderbilt who almost beat Texas A&M, so Texas A&M is bad, but Arkansas hung with Georgia for a half and they blew out Auburn, but Auburn beat Kentucky who almost beat Ole Miss who lost to Flor pic.twitter.com/SSNHHVa8HH
