In the latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, despite still remaining idle, Michigan football made a small uptick forward on Sunday in the eyes of the coaches.

It had less to do with the Wolverines, however, and more to do with the fact that multiple teams lost on Saturday. Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Memphis and Pitt all lost on Saturday and thus dropped out. Texas lost as well, as did Texas A&M, yet both remain ranked.

As far as Michigan, it rises up two spots to No. 19. It still has multiple future opponents ranked, as well. Ohio State is No. 6, Penn State is No. 8 and Wisconsin is No. 14. Minnesota is the first team that didn’t make the cut at a theoretical No. 26.
