The latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports was released on Sunday and featured some changes inside the top 10 that affected programs like LSU.
In the first week of action for the SEC, all went as planned for most teams.
Unfortunately for the defending national champion LSU Tigers, they fell to the Mississippi State Bulldogs 44-34 in Baton Rouge.
After the season-opening loss, LSU falls 12 spots to No. 17 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll.

Mississippi State, led by new coach Mike Leach and graduate transfer quarterback K.J. Costello, makes its debut in the poll, came in at No. 14.
Clemson and Alabama remain at the top, while the Florida Gators moved up three spots to No. 3 and Georgia moved down one spot to No. 4.
Notre Dame rounded out the top five, coming in at No. 5.
Oklahoma, which was previously ranked No. 3, fell all the way to No. 16 after an upset loss to Kansas State.
