Former Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts made his NFL debut at quarterback on Sunday and quickly made his impact felt.
Hurts entered the game early in the third quarter with his Philadelphia Eagles facing a second down around midfield. Hurts took the snap and promptly rushes for eight yards and a Philadelphia first down.

After his first-down run, Hurts returned to the sideline and Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz re-entered the game. A week ago, the Eagles also put Hurts in the game for a gadget play, but he was lined up in the backfield as a running back.
The Eagles selected with the 53rd pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. In his one year at Oklahoma, Hurts was a Heisman runner-up and threw for 3,851 passing yards on a 69.7 completion percentage for 32 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,298 yards and 20 touchdowns under Lincoln Riley.
The 0-2 Eagles remained locked in a tight battle with the Cincinnati Bengals late in the third quarter.
